Almond flour

Almonds are packed with nutrients, such as unsaturated fats, protein, magnesium, fiber and vitamin E. As a result, a small handful of almonds can be good for an energy boost and for feeling satiated. Almonds also have benefits for avid athletes. The protein in this nut comes in handy for building more muscle mass. Almonds consist of about 20% protein, making almonds about equal to chicken and dairy products.

Fleawort fiber

Fleawort fiber, also called psyllium fiber, comes from the Plantago Ovata, family of plantain. From these plants, the seeds and seed coats are harvested. These are then chopped and dried. Fleawort fibers have specific properties that can stimulate bowel function and bowel movements. In addition, these fibers contain specific properties that come in handy when you want to bake gluten-free.

 

Advantages

 

Psyllium fiber consists of over 80% fiber. This ensures that the use of this fiber can stimulate bowel function and bowel movements. For this reason, it is often used for colon cleansing.

 

Psyllium fiber has the ability to absorb over 20 times its own weight in moisture. The fibers cause the intestinal contents to become softer, allowing for faster bowel movements.

Hemp seeds

Hemp seeds are 1 of the most popular superfoods. Because hemp seeds contain nutrients, essential fatty acids and more than 20 different minerals, hemp seeds have been called "The most perfect food in the world”.

 

The seeds do not have the same effects as the flowers of a hemp plant. Hemp seeds contain little to no THC, which means it will not get you high.

Advantages

Hemp seeds contain many vitamins, essential amino acids and fatty acids that help maintain a healthy and strong body. Vitamin B is present in abundance. It also contains many minerals including zinc, which can help with higher energy levels.

 

Because of the many proteins in hemp seeds, eating them can help with muscle recovery and building muscle mass. So ideal for athletes!

 

There are also quite a few fats in hemp seeds, fortunately, about 90% of these are unsaturated fats, which are actually good for you. You even need them on a daily basis!

Sunflower seeds

Sunflower seeds are the fruit of sunflowers. They are and an excellent source of vitamin E, magnesium and selenium, "nutrients often lacking in our diet”.

Because of their neutral taste, you can use them in both savoury and sweet dishes. So with the Z-bun, you can easily eat them with sweet and savoury toppings.

Sunflower seeds are high in vitamins B and E, plus the minerals phosphorus, copper and magnesium.

 

Although they are high in calories, they are also high in vegetable protein, healthy fats and fiber. If you eat them without the shell, sunflower seeds contain more protein than flaxseeds and more fiber than hemp seeds.

 

So they are a delicious and natural superfood.

Pumpkin seeds

Pumpkin seeds are very tasty and highly nutritious. They are a rich source of magnesium. Healthy magnesium levels are important for blood pressure, heart health, bone health and blood sugar levels.

Lupin flour

Lupin flour is one of the main ingredients in the Bunmixes.

It has a protein content of as much as 43%, making it an easy way to meet your daily protein needs.

Lupin contains NO gluten, making it a great alternative to gluten-containing flours. In addition, lupin contains vitamin B12 in a form that is easily absorbed by the human body.

So good for vegetarians & vegans, plus the ideal substitute for meat and for the current meat substitute soy!!!

Better for the world?

The lupine plant is very good for our soil. The bean needs no fertilizer to grow and even provides nutrition for the plant that grows on the same soil afterwards!

The lupin plant blooms for four weeks in the summer. This attracts many insects, which is good for biodiversity.
